Rockingham County Schools is pleased to announce that parent observer access is available for Canvas, our district Learning Management System. Students in grades 6 – 12 receive daily announcements, assignments, class resources, and grades through this online tool. 

 

To register for a parent account and become an observer in your child’s courses, please contact your school.

Digital Learning Coaches

Digital Learning Coaches

What is a Digital Learning Coach?

Digital Learning Coaches are classroom teachers identified as digital learning leaders for their schools. These coaches provide support and training for their colleagues. Digital Learning Coaches will conduct workshops, facilitate online learning, and work with their fellow teachers one-on-one to help them engage learners by using digital tools and resources.

 

Program Requirements

  1. Complete an online professional learning module to help you gain knowledge and tools to assist you in your role as a digital learning coach.

  2. Develop a Digital Learning Support Plan. This form must be completed with your principal and submitted by September 30th.

  3. Complete and submit the Digital Learning Coach Training Documentation monthly.

  4. Design and facilitate one professional development online mini-module related to digital teaching and learning.

  5. Attend 3 required face-to-face meeting dates (see below).

  6. Participate in virtual networking conversations with your grade-level peers.
